Heavy rains wreaked havoc across the erstwhile Medak district, paralysing normal life as several areas recorded unprecedented rainfall in the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Monday.
Gouraram in Siddipet district received 236 mm of rainfall, the highest of the season, followed by Alladurg in Medak, which recorded 220 mm. Several other areas witnessed rainfall exceeding 150 mm. Mulug mandal reported 167 mm, Markook 141 mm, while Komuravelly and Gajwel mandals also received over 100 mm. Siddipet district as a whole recorded an average of 60 mm, the highest this season.
