Players representing Medak, Ramayampet, Narsapur, Toopran, Chegunta, Papannapet, Tekmal, Regode, Shivampet, Kulcharam, Alladurg, and neighboring mandals participate with great enthusiasm, making it one of the largest cricket tournaments in the region. The tournament follows official cricket rules and regulations under experienced umpires and match officials. Competitions are organized in multiple categories, including Under-14, Under-16, Under-19, Senior Men's, Women's, and Open Category tournaments, providing opportunities for players of all age groups to showcase their talent. The matches are played in league and knockout formats, ensuring exciting and competitive cricket throughout the tournament.

The Medak District Volleyball & Kabaddi Championship is one of the district's most anticipated annual sporting events, organized to promote traditional sports, identify emerging talent, and encourage physical fitness among youth. Conducted under the guidance of the District Youth Services & Sports Department in collaboration with local sports associations, the championship attracts hundreds of players and spectators from across Medak District. The tournament features competitive matches between teams representing villages, mandals, schools, colleges, universities, government departments, youth clubs, and private sports academies. Athletes from Medak, Ramayampet, Narsapur, Toopran, Chegunta, Papannapet, Shivampet, Regode, Tekmal, Alladurg, Kulcharam, and neighboring mandals participate enthusiastically, making the championship one of the largest district-level sporting events. Kabaddi, a sport deeply rooted in Telangana's rural traditions, showcases the strength, agility, teamwork, and tactical skills of local players. Volleyball, equally popular among schools and colleges, highlights speed, coordination, and sportsmanship. The Telangana State Sports Meet is one of the most prestigious annual sporting events in which athletes from Medak District proudly represent their region at state-level competitions. The event serves as a platform for talented sportspersons to compete against the best athletes from districts across Telangana while promoting excellence, discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Before the state meet, district-level selection trials are organized by the District Youth Services & Sports Department in collaboration with local sports associations and educational institutions. Outstanding performers earn the opportunity to represent Medak in various disciplines, including Athletics, Cricket, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Football, Badminton, Kho-Kho, Basketball, Wrestling, Boxing, Weightlifting, Table Tennis, Archery, and Indoor Games. The championship showcases participants from schools, colleges, universities, sports academies, and professional clubs. The sports meet features multiple competitions across different age categories for both men and women. Winners receive gold, silver, and bronze medals, certificates of achievement, and recognition from the Sports Authority of Telangana. Exceptional athletes may also be selected for national championships, specialized coaching camps, and advanced sports development programs.
