The Medak District Cricket Tournament is one of the most prestigious annual sporting events organized in the district, bringing together talented cricketers from every corner of Medak. Conducted during January and February, the tournament is organized by the District Cricket Association, in collaboration with the Department of Youth Services & Sports, Government of Telangana, to promote cricket at the grassroots level and identify promising players for higher-level competitions. The championship attracts school teams, college teams, village clubs, private academies, corporate teams, and youth sports associations from across the district. Players representing Medak, Ramayampet, Narsapur, Toopran, Chegunta, Papannapet, Tekmal, Regode, Shivampet, Kulcharam, Alladurg, and neighboring mandals participate with great enthusiasm, making it one of the largest cricket tournaments in the region. The tournament follows official cricket rules and regulations under experienced umpires and match officials. Competitions are organized in multiple categories, including Under-14, Under-16, Under-19, Senior Men's, Women's, and Open Category tournaments, providing opportunities for players of all age groups to showcase their talent. The matches are played in league and knockout formats, ensuring exciting and competitive cricket throughout the tournament.

The Medak District Volleyball & Kabaddi Championship is one of the district's most anticipated annual sporting events, organized to promote traditional sports, identify emerging talent, and encourage physical fitness among youth. Conducted under the guidance of the District Youth Services & Sports Department in collaboration with local sports associations, the championship attracts hundreds of players and spectators from across Medak District. The tournament features competitive matches between teams representing villages, mandals, schools, colleges, universities, government departments, youth clubs, and private sports academies. Athletes from Medak, Ramayampet, Narsapur, Toopran, Chegunta, Papannapet, Shivampet, Regode, Tekmal, Alladurg, Kulcharam, and neighboring mandals participate enthusiastically, making the championship one of the largest district-level sporting events. Kabaddi, a sport deeply rooted in Telangana's rural traditions, showcases the strength, agility, teamwork, and tactical skills of local players. Volleyball, equally popular among schools and colleges, highlights speed, coordination, and sportsmanship.
