Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Medak (JNV Medak) is a co-educational residential school located in Wargal, Telangana, India. It is part of the national network of Navodaya Vidyalayas established by the Government of India to provide quality education to talented rural children regardless of their socio-economic background.

Background and purpose

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas were created under the National Policy on Education (1986) to bridge the rural–urban educational divide. JNV Medak admits students primarily from rural areas of Medak district through a competitive entrance examination held at the district level. Education, boarding, and lodging are provided free of cost.
